18-YEAR-OLD GIRL HANGS SELF FOR FAILING IN IIT JEE - Daily Pioneer

Depressed over failing to clear IIT JEE exam, an 18-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at her residence in Kasturba Nagar under Govindpura police station on Wednesday.

Police said that the deceased Isha Upadhyay failed to clear JEE exam, she was preparing for the examination for the past one and was depressed over her results which was declared on Monday.
The deceased after having dinner at around 11 pm went to her room and was later found hanging in the morning.

The family members found her hanging at around 8 am after she failed to respond when they checked her in her room.
In the preliminary investigation police have found the reason of the suicide could be the failure to clear exams but it could be ascertained in the further investigation said police. The statements of the family and friends are yet to be recorded.

Meanwhile, a 22-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at Dwarka Nagar under Bajaria police station area on Wednesday. The deceased identified as Lokesh Bhore was found hanging and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
The deceased used to work with a contractor at Hoshangabad government paper mill and used to live with his mother and brother. Police said that the reason behind the suicide remained unknown and would be investigated.Body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
